Did anyone read this story? This woman weighed 528 lbs at the whopping age of 25, and died approximately 6 months after giving birth. I'm failing to see in the first place, as I can't even think of any athletic types who weigh 500 lbs, how such a mother could have the energy or the physical ability to keep up with the constant needs of a baby. Now I guess dad, if they were a married couple, has the demands of being a widowed parent.

I'm simply not seeing the appeal of unfettered parenting, especially with babies. In the U S a quadruple amputee, that way because of bacterial meningitis, was seriously asked by her interviewer if she planned on having any kids, and this young woman answered very maturely, "If my child got into an emergency situation, I would have to have an able bodied person with me constantly as I cannot move quickly to get someone out of such a situation. I don't plan on having any kids." I applaud, instead of the now deceased 528 lb mother, this thoughtful young woman who acknowledged her limits rather than just making the parenting committment because it's possible. The morbidly overweight mother took the Beatles' ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE mantra to parenting, and I'm afraid it didn't work for long.
